This Year's Winner Joseph Boyle Jr.!
Joseph Boyle Jr. is in his sixth year of teaching social studies at Rogers High School after a five-year career in journalism. His travels and experience as a journalist have shaped his approach to teaching. His involvement in the Middle East Partnership Initiative project allowed Tunisian students to spend the day with Rogers’ social studies classes. Mr. Boyle was given the 2008 Mr. Ram award which was voted on by students and honors a teacher’s positive impact on the student body.
BCSN recognizes 9th - 12th Grade Teachers with Monthly Awards
One Teacher of the Month will be selected and announced in October, November, December, January, February, March, April and May. From this group of eight Teachers of the Month, one Teacher of the Year will be selected and announced at an awards dinner hosted by BCSN in May 2011.
The Teacher of the Year will receive a $1,000 cash award, a gift for their classroom (value of up to $1,500), and a $10,000 endowed scholarship fund in their name from which one scholarship will be awarded through the school on an annual basis in perpetuity.
